-Big Girls Don't Whine!-

Been reading a book titled 'Big Girls Don't Whine' by Jan Silvious. It was a birthday present from my cg and I must say that the book has impacted me a lot.

The book illustrated the example of Mary and Martha. While Martha was stressed out over preparing a meal for Jesus, Mary just "made the Big-Girl choice to sit at Jesus' feet and absorb everything He had to say". Indeed the book stresses aout how there is a certain peace when you realise that life is not all about you and what you can do. Your value should not be determined by who you married or did not marry. Truly when we know our value and purpose in God, there is an acceptance of comfort of Christ's comfort and provision for every step of the way.

My friends have been asking why I am in such a jovial mood recently. One of them even thought I am attached! Well, as I learnt from the book, Big Girls don't wait for things to happen. They make things happen! So in the meantime there is a sense of happiness pervading the air as juan decides her mood will be determined only by herself and not other people...
